This Mausoleum houses the remains of the legendary Cuban-Argentine revolutionary Ernesto "Che" Guevara and some of his comrades fallen in Bolivia. It shows personal objects of Che and other fighters who participated in the war of national liberation in Cuba, from 1956 to 1959, and in the Bolivian epic of 1967.
It was the scene of the last battles that, led by Che Guevara, led to the revolutionary triumph in January 1st, 1959. Santa Clara has a rich scientific potential and is also distinguished by its solid culture and history, much of which can be seen at the Provincial Museum, the Museum of Decorative Arts or the Teatro Caridad.
Every year the famous Parrandas de Remedios, one of the most important traditional festivals in Cuba, is celebrated in the popular town of San Juan de los Remedios. This deep-rooted tradition was born around 1820 at the initiative of the priest of the town. Although at present its religious sense has been lost, it is a celebration that prevails despite the time from generation to generation.
