Pleasant city that preserves practically intact the Cuban people traditions, but not its rich colonial architecture, which perished in the fire that gave it fame, its horse-drawn carriages as a reminder of colonial traditions. It also has historical sites that constitute a strong tourist attraction. In the center of the city there is a museum with belongings and documents of Carlos Manuel de Céspedes.
